Understand Staff Role Labels and Permissions
Learn why Manager, Admin or Receptionist may appear on a staff record and why the permission modules remain the real access control.
Role labels are assigned automatically
The current app assigns a display role from the number of enabled permission modules. The Academy owner does not select the role label directly.
Current label logic
- One enabled module displays Receptionist.
- Two or three enabled modules display Admin.
- Four or five enabled modules display Manager.
What actually controls access
The role label does not add permissions. Access is controlled by the Academy staff member’s selected branches, enabled permission modules, active status and the Academy plan.
Staff Admin is not the Academy owner
A staff record labelled Admin does not receive owner-level access. Branch Management, Staff Management, Academy profile, subscriptions, billing, payment-gateway settings and Coach Management remain owner-only.
