Understand Tournament Standings

Read Played, Won, Lost, Drawn and Points values calculated from completed tournament fixtures.

When standings appear

Standings appear after the tournament has confirmed teams. The table can display even before any fixture is completed, with all values at zero.

How results affect standings

  • A win gives the winning team 2 points and one win.
  • A draw gives each team 1 point and one draw.
  • A loss adds one loss and no points.
  • No result increases Played for both teams but does not add a win, loss, draw or points.
  • Cancelled fixtures are ignored.

Ranking order

  • Points, highest first.
  • Wins, highest first when points are equal.
  • Team name alphabetically when points and wins are equal.

Group and knockout formats

The Points column appears when the tournament includes Group Stage or Qualifier fixtures. It is hidden for a pure knockout schedule.

Abbreviations

P = Played, W = Won, L = Lost, D = Drawn and Pts = Points.
