Understand Head Coach, Assistant Coach and Guest Coach Labels

Use Academy Coach role labels to describe the coach’s relationship without granting Academy-owner administration.

Available role labels

  • Head Coach: identifies a senior coach who leads Academy training responsibilities.
  • Assistant Coach: the default label for a newly attached coach and for coaches supporting batches.
  • Guest Coach: identifies an occasional or short-term Academy coaching relationship.

How to change a role label

  1. Open Coaches Info.
  2. Find the coach and select Edit Coach.
  3. Select Head Coach, Assistant Coach or Guest Coach.
  4. Review the assigned branches and batches.
  5. Select Save Changes.

What a role label does not provide

  • Academy-owner access.
  • Branch Management.
  • Staff Management.
  • Academy subscription or billing access.
  • Player enrolment or Academy fee management.
  • Program or batch administration outside the coach’s assigned work.

Assignments remain essential

The role label does not replace branch and batch assignment. A coach must still be assigned to the relevant branches and batches before Academy work appears in the Coach account.

Role labels and access

Note: Use the role label to describe the coach’s Academy relationship. Branch and batch assignments determine where the coach works, and the role label does not provide Academy-owner administration.
