Understand Notification Behaviour for Academy, Staff, Coach and Player Accounts
Learn how notification recipients and dashboard badges differ by account context.
Academy owner
The Academy dashboard and Academy layout use the Academy account identifier to load notifications and unread counts.
Academy staff
Staff members work inside the Academy workspace. The current source also uses the Academy account identifier for the notification bell rather than a separate staff notification recipient.
Coach
The Coach dashboard uses the Coach record identifier for unread count and Notification Center content. Native push registration begins after the Coach identifier is resolved.
Player
The Player dashboard uses the Player record identifier for unread count and Notification Center content.
Important Academy read-state consideration
Note: Because the current Academy and staff experience is keyed to the Academy recipient, per-person unread behaviour for multiple staff devices requires runtime validation. One person marking an Academy notification read may affect the shared Academy read state.
