Access Academy Group Chats as an Assigned Coach
Find Academy chats added through Coach branch and Batch assignments and understand when the Coach can send messages.
How Academy chat access is added
VR SPORT synchronizes Coach membership with the Coach's Academy branch and Batch assignments. When an eligible Academy group already exists, the Coach can be added to the relevant Academy, Program or Batch conversation.
Open Academy chats
- Select Chats from the Coach bottom navigation.
- Review Total Chats and Unread.
- Use Search chats when required.
- Use the chat-type filter and select Academy chats to narrow the list.
- Select the required conversation.
Sending messages
- A Coach can send messages in an active Academy group that is not read-only.
- A read-only announcement group prevents non-admin members, including Coaches, from sending.
- A deactivated or archived group is read-only for every member.
- Players may have separate reply restrictions that do not change the Coach's own access.
Coach-created chats
Note: Academy chat membership is separate from creating a Coach group. Creating Coach groups or one-to-one Player chats requires an active Coach Pro subscription.
When an Academy chat disappears
- The Coach may have been removed from the related Batch or Academy.
- The Program or Batch may have been deactivated, pausing the conversation.
- The Academy may have archived the group.
- The Coach may be using the wrong mobile account.
