Create a Program Group Chat

Create one communication group for active Players and assigned Coaches connected to a selected Academy program.

Before you begin

  • The Academy must be on Growth or Premium.
  • The selected program must already exist.
  • At least one active Player should be enrolled before creating the group from the Program details screen.

Create from Messages

  1. Open Messages and select Add.
  2. Choose Program.
  3. Select the required program. Programs that already have a group are disabled and show Chat already exists.
  4. Review or edit the group name.
  5. Choose whether Players can reply.
  6. Optionally add a welcome message.
  7. Select Create Chat.

Create from the Program details screen

  1. Open Programs and select the required program.
  2. In the Group Chat area, select Create Group Chat.
  3. Choose the message permission and optional welcome message.
  4. Review the confirmation and select Create.

Members added

  • Academy owner
  • Active Players enrolled in the selected program
  • Active Academy staff with Attendance & Communication permission
  • Coaches assigned to active batches under the selected program

Duplicate prevention

Only one active Program group can be created for each program. The Program picker displays Chat already exists when the selected program is already connected to a group.

If the program is not listed

  • Confirm the program exists and belongs to the Academy data currently loaded in the app.
  • Confirm the Academy is on Growth or Premium.
  • Check whether a group already exists for the program.
  • If the program is deactivated, review the linked group under the Deactivated chat status.
